Where I am
I am here at the very place where I sit, although sometimes I am
very far away from where I am. I am where I live & I live where I used to
be most happy, where in youth I danced, rode my bike to yoga & laughed
deeply in love with my community and friends. Where I am now is in that very
same house (like an old tree standing), this little house would know me better
than I remember knowing myself. Where I am is in a city of 150 thousand people
in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Where I am was once a White Oak savanna,
along the Willamette River, where Kalapuya Native Americans once lived.
