The Maeander

The Maeander in Phrygia, now modern-day Turkey one of the notable rivers of ancient times symbolized any crooked path.

Ovid, a famous Roman poet used the name Maeander in his poetry "The limpid Meander flows backwards and forwards, and meeting itself, beholds its waters that are to follow".

I too know the crookedness of the Maeanderer and am just now beginning as I come closer to the end.
